On September 11, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık took part in an expert seminar at the BISR site.
In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted the main directions of Ankara's foreign policy at the present stage. He elaborated on Turkey's approaches to crisis management in the Black Sea region and the Eastern Mediterranean. He emphasized the importance of Belarusian and Turkish peacekeeping initiatives to ensure regional security.
Answering analysts' questions about the state and prospects of Belarusian-Turkish relations, the diplomat spoke in favor of closer cooperation between representatives of the business circles of the two countries, as well as deepening cooperation between Belarusian and Turkish research centers.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation between the BISR and the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Turkey on issues of mutual interest.
