President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 1, declaring 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman.
The document has been adopted with the aim of shaping a national image of the working woman and promoting the role of women in preserving and developing society.
The Year of the Belarusian Woman will become a large-scale nationwide initiative uniting the efforts of the state, civil society organisations, businesses, and religious institutions. Its goal is to provide tangible support, create new opportunities, and strengthen the status of women across all spheres of life.
