On March 13, 2019, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus E.Q. Ertisbaev met with the Director of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR) O.S. Makarov.
They discussed a wide range of issues related to the dialogue between expert communities, civil society and political circles of both countries.
E. Ertisbaev expressed interest in building up a dialogue with the recently established Institute and stressed that the development of meaningful cooperation will allow for closer cooperation in the future.
An important issue of the meeting was the possible intensification of interaction between Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KISS) and BISR in terms of tasks of assisting with the development of cooperation between both countries.
They also agreed upon more active joint work on promoting projects and searching for opportunities to build up bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the strengthening and intensification of interstate relations was positively characterized and the important role of such integration structures as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was noted.
