The first Young Analyst Summer School has been opened in Belarus. The event will bring together students, undergraduates and young scientists from all over the country. For four days, intensive trainings, master classes, workshops and educational sessions involving top managers and experts from ministries, departments and leading organizations of the country will be held, the press service of the Ministry of Education said.
Own independent analytics is very important for the sustainable development of the country. A qualitative methodology for analyzing and assessing the situation, the possibility of independent forecasting is one of the components of sovereignty and national security. Five years ago, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR) was established in Belarus by presidential decree. The key task of this structure is providing analytical support for the activities of senior government officials. The comprehensive study focuses on the analysis of a wide range of spheres of life, including education, healthcare, the labor market, industry, and agriculture.
Analysts are conducting a serious sociological survey on social attitudes in the capital and regions, studying the level of satisfaction with living conditions, jobs, and infrastructure. These data undoubtedly ensure deeper understanding of people's expectations and contribute to effective decision-making by government officials.
A great deal of work is done with young people. BISR has launched a large-scale project for young analysts, involving all universities of the country and interuniversity analytical clusters. The Ministry of Education has become a permanent partner for the implementation of all stages of the project.
The educational seminar "Young Analyst Summer School" will open today, August 20, on the basis of the National Children's Technopark with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Education, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research.
The participants will be students, undergraduates and young scientists from all regions of Belarus and the capital.
The key vector is the training of talented young people with a high level of analytical abilities in the skills of working with information resources and materials, as well as the development of the analytical movement among the youth of the country through participation in educational programs.
The Summer School program includes a presentation of the youth analytical movement of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, a lecture "On the development of innovative technologies in the Belarusian IT sector”, psychological trainings and team building.
Also, for four days, the following will be organized for the seminar participants: a master class “Analytics and Regions”; a seminar “BISR Developments in the Methodology of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting (Matrix as an Analytical Tool)”; workshops, lectures, educational sessions and other events held with the participation of heads and representatives of Belarusian ministries, agencies and organizations.
Following the educational seminar results, participants will be involved in the study of topics and research aimed at further development of the country.
Young analysts will also visit the Minsk Tractor Works, the Central Election Commission and the Khatyn Memorial Complex.
