On June 21, 2023, in order to develop an expert dialogue with the states of the “far arc”, BISR held a seminar with the participation of the Charge d'affaires of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Belarus Meshaal al-Atty. The head of the diplomatic mission of Qatar was acquainted with the main BISR activities. The interlocutor was also informed of the outcomes of the project "Value Portrait of modern Belarusian society". The sides shared their views on the current state and prospects for the Belarus-Qatar relations development, including through expert diplomacy. The meeting participants discussed the specifics of research centers activities in modern conditions, agreeing with the objectively urgent need for closer cooperation between Belarusian and Qatari think tanks. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation between the BISR and the Qatari diplomatic mission on the issues of mutual interest.
