As part of the partnerships development with the DAKSHIN Global South Centre of Excellence (India), on August 8 BISR analyst Irina Rusak took part in an online seminar organized by Indian partners on the topic of expanding access to medical care through technology (telemedicine).

DAKSHIN is an initiative aimed at sharing best practices in various fields, including health, technology and agriculture, in the Global South countries. The workshop aimed at exploring the possibilities of reproducing and adapting successful telemedicine initiatives in the Global South countries.
It was attended by representatives of analytical centers, experts and specialists from India, the Republic of Guinea, Bolivia, Thailand, Kenya and Uganda.
The participants exchanged ideas, shared best experiences and identified possible areas of cooperation for scaling up best practices in applying new technologies in healthcare and providing mutual technical assistance.
In particular, it was noted that the use of modern technologies in conjunction with artificial intelligence can qualitatively change the traditional style of treatment, improve the quality of the entire healthcare system and the services provided as a whole.
Representatives of India paid special attention to various aspects of the practical implementation of the National Digital Health Plan, as well as the development of digital standards for IT medicine.
