The forum appeals to the wisdom of Belarusians who are able to be above the current situation and come to civil peace

The 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly is in the focus of both internal and external political and social forces. None of the previous forums had such a significant media resonance, at least in the preparatory phase.

The attitude towards the 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly is a catalyst for regarding Belarus and its future. Following the Belarusian path requires strengthening and development of the national statehood model. Political and social forces interested in strengthening and development of the sovereign statehood are guided by "Belarus is the highest value" principle. The forum appeals to the wisdom of Belarusians who are able to be above the current situation and come to civil peace and harmony for the sake of future generations.

What innovations were introduced at All-Belarusian People's Assembly preparatory phase?

Preparation for the 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly introduced a number of effective innovations:

1. Identification of a public demand took place in advance and in several ways at the same time – on dialogue platforms, in public reception rooms, as part of work with claims.

2. It is the demands of the Belarusian society, the views of people on the further development of Belarus, and not the agenda defined "from above", that made the basis of an issue field to be discussed at the forum. Such approach will not only contribute to the productive work of the 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly, but will also guarantee the legitimacy of its decisions.

The society naturally faced identification of the further development trajectory

The concept of the 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly was actually unveiled by President Alexander Lukashenko in his New Year's address. The 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly will have to formulate the meanings through which our country may access a new stage of development. These are deep challenges of the Belarusian state and society, which today naturally faced identification of the further development trajectory.

The public opinion analysis held in framework of forum preparation showed that for the most of people the process of improving public administration should:

  • to a greater extent consider the people's opinion during decision-making;
  • more actively involve public associations in elaborating managerial decisions;
  • make the work of the state apparatus more transparent to the public.

Based on stated demands, the 6th All-Belarusian Assembly will have to elaborate comprehensive approaches that engage all tools of working with community, including communication and information methods, and building a new socio-political infrastructure that allows directing the energy of social groups in a positive way.

The All-Belarusian People's Assembly should become a platform for real dialogue

The All-Belarusian People's Assembly should become a platform for a real dialogue on elaborating the country's development strategy. Therefore, the proposed agenda of the forum is beyond the Program of Socio-economic Development for the current five-year plan.

The outcome of the 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the vision of the future of Belarus where each citizen could see own foothold and prospects for development. The image of the future Belarus will manifest in concrete decisions on developing various aspects of life of the Belarusian society and the state. New framework of the socio-economic and socio-political systems can be introduced in the new version of the basic law of the country.

Each generation of Belarusians has its own historical mission

Each generation of Belarusians has its own historical mission. The contribution of youth to the Belarusian statehood development should be no less significant than that created by their predecessors. The aspirations of the older generation are mainly related to the preserving the sovereign Belarus for posterity. The 6th All-Belarusian People's Assembly should answer the question how to join together the experience of older people and the ambitions of younger ones to bring the benefits of development to our country.
