"The President's interview to the American blogger Mario Nawfal confirms the course towards openness of our country to the exterior. We continue to use all opportunities, including new media, to articulate our position in the international arena. For us, it is not so much a format or a platform for communication that is primary, but rather the prospects of conveying to the audience the system-forming meanings for Belarus," Sergei Zhuk emphasized.

The analyst drew attention to who exactly was the interviewer. "Mario Nawfal is not just a successful businessman and a public figure, but a man who, according to a number of media reports, is connected with Elon Musk. His 69 Minutes Podcast is one of the most popular media products among supporters of the Conservative Party. Therefore, it is safe to say that the messages of the President of Belarus are aimed not only at American society, but also at the political elites of the United States," the expert noted.

The analyst also shared one more observation. Unlike previous interviews that Alexander Lukashenko gave to Western media, the current dialogue was strikingly different in the tone of the interviewer, his desire to understand Belarus’ position and view on global geopolitical processes.

"The key meanings of the interview were the calls of the President of Belarus for the normalization of Belarusian-American relations, the joint movement of East and West forward, reducing the level of escalation at the global level, primarily by resolving the Ukrainian crisis. The first step should be a cease-fire and the start of full-fledged peace negotiations. Moreover, due to the cultural proximity of Belarusians, Russians and Ukrainians, Minsk has been proposed as a venue again," Sergei Zhuk drew attention.

At the same time, in an interview, Alexander Lukashenko updated Belarus' position on the need to accelerate the formation of a new international security system that would reflect the current balance of power in the world and include the interests of small and medium-sized states. "Undoubtedly, the powers that be - Russia, the United States and China - should play a key role in this. The President's message about Belarus as a responsible subject of international relations, a European country, a stronghold of traditional values and one of the centers of Christian civilization reflects our positioning in the international arena, which is important, including for the current leadership of the United States," the BISR Brest Office analyst concluded.
