June 25th, Minsk region /BELTA rep./ Digitalisation is one of the most powerful driving forces of the building of the Union State. This was the opinion of the analyst of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research (BISR), head of the Centre for the Analysis of the “People’s Five-Year Plan” Citizens’ Initiative Katsiaryna Rechyts at the beginning of the XII Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia expert session, a BELTA correspondent reports.

“The policy of Belarus and Russia is always based on the exploring the possible social effects of policy decisions. Our President always stresses that the people’s opinion must be asked for and taken into consideration while developing important documents. Today we see that the digital platforms specifically are becoming the key instrument in this work. The sphere of digitalisation is one of the most powerful driving force for the union building, because only in this direction it is possible to go at an accelerated pace,” — Katsiaryna Rechyts said.

At the same time, she pointed out that today in the digitalisation sphere there is no further scenario of the joint development determined. “There are different digital systems in use in the Russian Federation. Our country embarked on this path. In his Address to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko determined the task to work out the questions of creating the universal digital system of the feedback connection with the population. This work is in progress right now. Also, in this context, the “People’s Five-Year Plan” project accumulating the requests and expectations of our citizens regarding the country’s future has been developing,” — the analyst highlighted.
