The Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research is looking forward to develop practical cooperation with "think tanks" and institutes of China. This was stated by BISR director Oleg Makarov at an expert seminar with the participation of Chen Zhou, Deputy Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
BISR director spoke about cooperation established by the Institute with various analytical institutions in China. Their list is quite extensive. According to him, it's time to move on:
“Apart from interacting with these think tanks, we intend to take two strategic steps in the near future. The first one is to try to establish cooperation under regional cooperation between think tanks of Chinese provinces and the regional offices of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research. The second one is to transfer our interaction, which now involves the exchange of information and communication, into the practical plane of solving some state-important tasks. In the development of our relationship, the stage of acquaintance, building confidence, familiarization has already been completed. And now we need to move on to such practical tasks that are important for the state. I believe that this will be useful and important for both sides," the BISR director said.
