On September 24, 2024, Yuri Yarmolinsky, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Policy, Head of the SCO and BRICS Research Center, met in BISR with Rajesh Kumar, the newly arrived Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Belarus.
During the conversation, the counterparts discussed the current state and promising areas of cooperation between BISR and the Indian diplomatic mission in order to promote the development and strengthening of contacts between our countries through expert diplomacy.
In particular, they discussed the intensification of contacts with the leading analytical center of Observer Research Foundation, as well as with the Global South Centre of Excellence DAKSHIN (New Delhi), which was established in 2023 on the personal initiative of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Indian Council of World Affairs was thanked for supporting BISR on the way to officially join the SCO Forum, headed by this analytical structure heads in 2024-2025.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue to maintain working contacts as necessary within the framework of the current agenda of mutual interest.
