Worked in plus

Following the results of seven months, the Gomel region shows a positive dynamics of GRP (102.7%). Traditionally, the main contribution to its formation was provided by industry, which enabled 108.4% growth compared to the same period last year. It should be noted that the manufactured products are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets. In fact, the ratio of stocks of finished products and the average monthly production volume in January-July decreased was 22% down compared to the same period in 2022. In the conditions of sanctions, timely reorientation contributes to the development by enterprises of the region of a new competitive and in-demand product range among buyers, some of which were previously imported from abroad. For example, steel production at Belarusian Steel Works increased by 23%. The company is mastering the production of rail grades of steel, has established the production of wire for cutting silicon crystals, which has no analogues in the CIS. Success is demonstrated by the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, Gomselmash JSC, which in 7 months produced 1,780 harvesters, or 106.7% of the plan, which allowed to increase the average monthly salary to Br 2.65 thousand, including workers of the main production - up to Br 2.96 thousand.

Geroy Truda Dobrush Paper Mill JSC has mastered the production of a thin film-protected laminated cardboard (previously imported from abroad), used as the basis for the manufacture of environmentally friendly disposable tableware. The capacities available will fully meet the needs of the Belarusian market. A new sheet cutter put into production on a cardboard-making machine can produce up to 50 tons of cardboard per day.

StankoGomel JSC has established the production and supply of numerically controlled machining centers to the Minsk Tractor Works.

Belarusian oilmen plan to develop promising fields through applying new technologies (911.2 thousand tons of oil were produced in the first half of the year). The ongoing processes give reason to predict further positive dynamics in the economy of the region, which will ultimately contribute to the growth of the welfare of the population.
