On June 1 of this year, the Republican Institute for Vocational Education (RIPO) hosted a dialogue platform "Young people as a socio-cultural and demographic resource for developing modern society" with the participation of Nikolai Sukhotsky, the Chief Adviser of the BISR Internal Policy Department, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor.
The platform was moderated by Rector of the Institute, Valery Golubovsky. The event was attended by members of RIPO Primary Organization of Belaya Rus Republican Public Association: RIPO vice-rectors, members of the rector's office.
The speaker was Nikolai Sukhotsky, the Chief Adviser of the BISR Internal Policy Department, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, who presented information of the social portrait of modern Belarusian youth.
In his speech, N. Sukhotsky provided data of a survey conducted in September 2021 by the Social and Humanitarian Research Centre of the Belarus State Economic University on demand of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research in order to study the social attitudes and opinions of the young people of the Republic of Belarus on current issues of life.
In his speech, he highlighted the following priority issues:
- the basic life strategies and attitudes of the Belarusian youth;
- youth in the Internet space;
- priority areas for admission among Belarusian youth.
In the course of the event, the participants of the dialogue platform actively involved in the dialogue and showed interest in many aspects of the presented survey, as well as future projects. During the meeting, everyone could express their opinion and ask questions of their interest.
