On March 3, 2022, BISR analysts took part online in the high-level International Conference "Regional cooperation of Central Asian countries within the framework of the Joint Action Plan for the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy".
The conference was co-organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Panels of the conference discussed addressing the conditions conducive to the spread of terrorism, preventing and countering the use of the Internet for terroristic purposes, as well as introducing and implementing the use of strengthening mechanism of the international cooperation and coordination in combating terrorism.
