On May 30, 2024, BISR analysts met with the Rector of the Higher Institute of International Relations of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus, Santiago Perez Benitez.
BISR Director Oleg Makarov acquainted the distinguished guest with the main activities of the Institute. A constructive exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects for the Belarus-Cuba relations development. The relevant issues of expanding cooperation between Belarusian and Cuban analytical centers were touched upon separately. The participants confirmed the significant role of expert dialogue in the context of modern challenges, discussed the international agenda in global and European dimensions. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation between the BISR and the Cuban Embassy in Belarus on issues of mutual interest.
