On June 20, 2022, BISR hosted the meeting of the institute's management and analysts with Israeli political scientist and public figure Yakov Kedmi, at which an engaged exchange of views took place on relevant global and regional trends in the international situation, ways to enhance security in the Eurasian region.
According to the BISR's guest, today the world experiences a transition from unipolarism to new alliances and integration entities, as well as a general shift of the global center of development to the East. The modern world order is in the situation of "August 1914", which is accompanied by increasing nationalist radicalization and other challenges.
The expert discussion participants came to the general conclusion that states' capacity, upholding of their sovereignty and independence are ensured by the development of various forms of regional integration, the ability to assess objectively the events being the case, including thanks to "think tanks", and, in general, the ability of the authorities to effectively mobilize resources and promptly solve pressing problems of society.
