On 6 November, under the chairmanship of the Institute of International Economics and Finance of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the final (fourth) Meeting of the SCO Consortium of Economic Analytical Centres (hereinafter – the Consortium) was held via videoconference. BISR Analysts Iryna Rusak and Yuri Yarmolinsky, Head of the Centre for SCO and BRICS Studies, participated in the meeting.

The Meeting participants discussed the final draft analytical report of the Consortium, “Priority Directions for Strengthening Trade and Industrial Cooperation in the SCO Region Considering the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of Member States”, prepared for the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers) of the SCO Member States, which will place in Moscow on 17–18 November this year.
Following the discussions, it was decided to approve the text of the document in the presented version and forward it to the National Coordinators on SCO Affairs for subsequent reporting to the heads of governments of the Member States.
At the end of the Meeting, the Russian side delegated the chairing of the Consortium to the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
