On November 5, 2022, at the invitation of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), BISR analyst Yuri Yarmolinsky took part in the Global Town Hall online discussion for the second year in a row.
In 2021, the event was attended by more than 12 thousand people from 122 countries, including 38 universities, 27 analytical centers and 40 civil society organizations. This year, the 15-hour discussion covered Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Russia, Canada, North and Latin America with approximately a comparable number of participants and speakers.
The agenda of the discussion included such key issues as the current state of the world, climate security, geopolitical challenges, the threat of food, energy and financial crisis, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the rest of the world, global governance, etc., which were accompanied by active interactive comments from participants.
