On July 28, 2022, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, within the framework of the expert-analytical project "Belarus and China: a common development trajectory", together with the Center for Belarusian Studies at the East China Normal University and the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, held a round table on Belarusian-Chinese strategic cooperation in the context of radical changes in the international situation".
The relevant issues of cooperation development between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China were discussed with an emphasis on the interregional cooperation potential.
Analysts of the BISR regional offices in Minsk, Mogilev and Vitebsk regions stressed the interest of local business entities in increasing exports to China, entering Chinese electronic platforms and attracting Chinese investors to implement joint projects. Belarusians perceive China as a strategically important partner in all spheres, and in modern conditions as one of the most important markets in the Asian vector of the "far arc".
In the humanitarian sphere, one of the outcomes of active bilateral cooperation was the rising interest of Belarusian youth in the Chinese language.
