On July 13, 2023, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research hosted a round table with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan B.M. Usmanov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belarus, BISR management and analysts, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan L.A. Marinich, which was timed to the thirtieth anniversary of the establishing diplomatic relations.
In the format of a constructive substantive discussion the event participants discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, political, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. The Uzbek guests also informed about the results of the recent early presidential elections, as well as about the progress and results of constitutional and other reforms being implemented in the country.
The special role of expert diplomacy in the development and strengthening of interstate cooperation between the two countries was emphasized separately.
