On February 20, 2024, with the assistance of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai, an expert seminar was held at the BISR site with the participation of Professor Liu Jun, Deputy Director of the Institute of Politics and International Relations of East China Normal University, Executive Director of the Center for Russian Studies at ECNU (PRC).
In the course of the event, promising areas of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation were discussed. Special attention is paid to the issues of expert diplomacy and interaction with Chinese analytical centers.
ECNU is one of the key integrated research universities in China. Bilateral expert-analytical cooperation is implemented in accordance with the memorandum of cooperation signed in September 2023 during a meeting between BISR Director Oleg Makarov and ECNU Rector Qian Xuhong.
Within the framework of interregional cooperation, the Institute and regional departments maintain close contacts with the Center for Belarusian Studies at ECNU, the first of the centers of Belarusian studies founded in China.
