On September 23, 2024, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research hosted an expert meeting with a delegation of Zimbabwe led by Martin Rushwaya, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet of Zimbabwe.
BISR Director Oleg Makarov familiarized the distinguished guests with the main activities of the Institute. There was an constructive exchange of views on the current state and prospects for the Belarusian-Zimbabwean relations development. The relevant issues of expanding cooperation between analytical centers of the two countries were touched upon.
The participants confirmed the significant role of expert dialogue in the context of modern challenges, discussed the international agenda in global and European dimensions.
Answering analysts' questions about the state and prospects of Belarusian-Zimbabwean relations, Martin Rushwaya spoke in favor of closer cooperation between representatives of the business circles of the two countries, deepening communication between the research centers of Belarus and Zimbabwe.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
