Continuing the series of traditional meetings with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Minsk within the "expert diplomacy", the director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research Oleg Makarov held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in the Republic of Belarus Mrs. Sangeeta Bahadur.
Director of BISR informed his collocutor about the main mission, goals, objectives and functions of BISR. The key attention was paid to the ongoing work on the development of the platform for the interaction with leading Indian "think tanks" to ensure high-quality information and analytical support for the international cooperation in key areas.
Mrs. Bahadur expressed readiness to provide assistance from the Embassy in the establishment of such cooperation based on the specific issues of interest to BISR.
Based on the results of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the working relations between BISR and the Embassy of India, including in the form of various round tables, conferences and workshops on topical issues of the bilateral agenda.
The next step on the way to expand the horizons of partnership and cooperation in the South Asia will be the visit of the BISR delegation to New Delhi this March to participate in the annual Asian Security Conference at the invitation of one of the leading "think tanks" of India - Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses.
