The 3rd Republican Contest of Analytical Projects and Research started accepting applications

Today, on February 10, started the application period for participation in the 3rd Republican Contest of Analytical Projects and Research. This year it is possible to apply in fifteen directions. They include the future of labour market, Belarusian media and digital space, artificial intellect and digital technologies, the city of the future, tourism potential of the region and others among them. The participants can be the students and the working youth aged 18 and older.

Young analysts must send their papers to the organisers before April 1, explained the Deputy Director of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research Vital Punchanka,

“Last season more than 300 people applied to the contest. I believe even more young analysts from all over the country will respond in 2026. One of the novelty of this year is the participation of our partners from Russia and China in the contest. Our young analysts often take internships in these countries, participate in the international conferences. Due to this innovation we can scale the international partnership.”

Another novelty of this season is an opportunity to send for participation not a finished research, but just the idea of it, the analyst of BISR Jauhien Kharuk added,

“During the two years of the contest existing we noticed that the youth take a keen interest in analytical research. Boys and girls want to understand the information streams, to know how everything works. That is why this year we will contemplate the ideas as well. And then, together with the students, we will work in the chosen direction. In this way, everyone will have an opportunity to present their view of our country’s future.”

The second-year student of the Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies Anastasija Pinchuk together with the team presented their project in the field of bioeconomy on the contest last year. The girl says,

“Together with the course mates we studied the opportunity to create a bio ice cream. Our idea was qualified for the republican final of the contest. After that, we were invited to the Young Analyst Summer School. We learned a lot of new and interesting things about research. Now we work on the proposal for the Mahilyow ice cream factory to produce our know-how.”

The history teacher of the Minsk Gymnasium No. 5 named after the Heroes of the Elbe Meeting Vital Ramaniuk set a goal to compare the educational approaches in our country and abroad.

“I am especially interested in the China’s experience. I even started learning Chinese to figure out the system better. For example, they have been using AI in classes since last year. I believe the introduction of the neural networks on the lessons at Belarusian schools would help to improve the quality of education and make lessons more interesting for children. I also compared the teaching approaches in Belarus and Russia. I haven’t been thinking about what research I’m going to apply for the new season’s contest yet, but it would definitely be connected to the education.”

The organiser of the contest is the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research supported by the Ministry of Education. The detailed information can be found on the websites of the BISR and the Youth Analytical Movement.
