Cooperation of States in international information security

On June 8, 2022, BISR analysts participated online in the IV International Conference "Tangible and Intangible Impact of Information and Communication in the Digital Age” inside the UNESCO's Information for All Programme and the XIII International IT Forum and made a presentation entitled "Malicious Use of Artificial Intelligence for Misinform and Shape the Agenda: Modern Practice In African Countries".

The Conference was organized jointly with the Government of Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and the UNESCO's Information for All Program

The breakout sessions presented reports of participants from 35 countries, examined the impact of the developing information and communication technologies on operation of state institutions and critical infrastructure facilities, socio-cultural and political implications of information overproduction, providing a balance in freedom of expression in the digital environment, and information and psychological security of the population. The importance of interstate cooperation in international information security was emphasized.
