On January 31, 2023, BISR analyst Yuri Yarmolinsky, at the invitation of the leadership of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), took part (online) in the annual press briefing organized by the Indonesian Foreign Ministry.
The event focused on the achievements of Indonesia's foreign policy in 2022, as well as the main priorities and the road map for 2023.

According to the discussion participants, the Indonesian G20 Presidency in 2022 brought the world's attention to the country and facilitated billions of dollars of investment.
With reference to the World Bank data, it was noted that in 2021 Indonesia's GDP was $1.19 trillion, which made it the 16th economy in the world and the first in the Southeast Asian region.
In turn, following the UNCTAD-WTO International Trade Center, the country ranks 30th in the world ranking of importers (while its share in world imports is 0.87%). In 2021, Indonesia's imports reached $195.7 billion, increased by 38% compared to the previous year.
Based on such economic indicators, Indonesia is a promising export destination for Belarus within the framework of the “pivot to Asia”.
