On June 16, 2021, Director of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research Oleg Makarov took part in the XII International IT Forum where experts from BRICS, SCO and CSTO states shared views on relevant issues of international information security.
"Small and medium-sized countries, such as Belarus, will protect legally binding norms, and not cyber warfare", the BISR Director said in addressing the online conference. "The growing importance of the information environment in the life of a person and society makes the postulates of the Belarusian state information policy, enshrined in the Information Security Concept of the Republic of Belarus, information sovereignty and information neutrality, even more relevant".
