As a continuation of the cycle of videoconferences with foreign partners, on October 2, 2020, a discussion was held between the management and analysts of the BISR with the Head of the Center for Eurasian Studies at the Institute of International Politics and Economics of Serbia, Dusan Prorokovic.
The parties discussed the current domestic political situation in Belarus, the prospects for the development of relationship between Belarus and Serbia, issues of regional and international security, the dynamics of the development of integration processes in the EAEU region.
Among the assessments of Professor D. Prorokovic, it is possible to point out the following:
"For Belarus in conditions of domestic political turbulence, it is important to prevent the destruction of state institutions, in the foreign policy area to focus on defending its own interests, to minimize external pressure."
The dialogue that took place convincingly confirmed the existence of ample opportunities for expanding bilateral contacts between Serbia and Belarus in the fields of science, healthcare, commercial and economic, and humanitarian cooperation.
