In order to expand scientific and expert relations and practical interaction with foreign analytical structures, on May 27, 2021 the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic (NISS KR).
The National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic is the only state institution under the highest authorities of Kyrgyzstan, designed to provide research and analytical support to the activities of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the BISR and the NISS KR promotes the establishment and development of information and analytical activities of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, strengthening the research potential of the two states, implementing joint projects, exchanging experience, and conducting a wide range of expert events.
On the Belarusian side, the event was attended by the BISR Director Oleg Makarov, Deputy Director Vitaly Stakhovsky, Head of the Department of Asia, Africa and Latin America Anton Dudarenok, Head of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation and Global Challenges Yuri Yarmolinsky.
The Kyrgyzstan side was represented by the NISS KR Director Uran Akhmetov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Belarus Ayymkan Kulukeeva.
During the meeting with Director Oleg Makarov and BISR analysts, the relevant issues of the ongoing environment and and prospects for developing bilateral Belarusian-Kyrgyz relations, were discussed. The parties expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation in the field of expert diplomacy, to develop partnership relations between the "think tanks" of the two countries.
