On October 21, 2021, BISR analysts held a round table with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov. The meeting was also attended by Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Kovalenya and Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Nikolay Myslivets.
The parties discussed relevant issues of the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between BISR and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the field of analysis of domestic political processes and foreign policy interests of the country. The positive experience of BISR cooperation with a number of NAS institutes: history, sociology, philosophy, was noted.
The meeting demonstrated the NAS capabilities to provide not only the fundamental component of science, but also to use the scientific basis for timely responding new challenges and "black swan" events. Such approaches are important for effective support of management decisions for the benefit of society.
