The main competence in working with India is patience

On October 11, 2022, BISR analyst Yuri Yarmolinsky, at the invitation of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, took part in a webinar on the topic: "Russia and India: prospects for trade and economic cooperation and solutions for business".

Special guests of the webinar were the Asia-Pacific Bank expert Elkhan Gurbanov, Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India Evgeny Griva, Consultant of the Trade Representation of Russia in India Anastasia Grineva. The event was also attended by about a hundred industry specialists, including from Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod regions and Tatarstan.

The participants discussed the specifics of the market and the complexity of doing business in India, mechanisms for finding partners, customers and suppliers, as well as effective ways of interacting with Indian counterparts, relevant solutions for business in the field of foreign economic activity in the current uncertainty with an emphasis on finance, insurance and logistics.

Representatives of the Russian trade mission noted the recent "explosive interest" in India, both through key industry ministries, economic operators of the constituent entities of the federation, and specific enterprises.

Following the webinar outcomes, its participants were invited to interact within the framework of the analytical project "The Great Game 2.0 in Asia" on issues representing mutual interest.
