On November 11, 2021, BISI analysts attended an expanded meeting of the Scientific advisory council at the Anti-Terrorist Center of the CIS Member States "Cooperation of the competent authorities of the CIS member States to neutralize the information and propaganda impact of international terrorist organizations".
The event participants focused on the means, methods and channels of implementing extremist propaganda in the digital space, as well as on measures to counter the information and propaganda activities of terrorist and extremist organizations in modern conditions.
Combining theoretical and practical approaches to neutralizing terrorist threats in the information sphere should be taken into account while implementing anti-terrorist measures aimed at maintaining stability in the region. Sharing experience in the field of neutralizing the information and propaganda activities of terrorist and extremist organizations is necessary to develop methodological approaches aimed at improving the level of security at the national, regional and international levels. Since forms and methods of information and propaganda influence of terrorist organizations are dynamically developing, the urgent task of the expert and scientific community is not only to study them comprehensively, but also to predict further trends in their development in order to develop adequate response to extremist threats in the information space.
