On October 20, 2022, BISR analysts took part in the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Social Communication in Modern Russian Society", held by the Federal Center of Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Society of Sociologists in Moscow. As part of discussing various aspects of social communication, the issues of positive and negative effects of the global digitalization of Russia and the countries of the Eurasian space, integration and disintegration processes, the study and generation of meanings transmitted to society, were raised.
The BISR analyst Nadezhda Nadtochayeva's report was devoted to the results of the BISR research "Methodology of strategic analysis and forecasting in regional, country and global dimensions" and concerned methodological issues of forecasting the development of social systems. One of the promising areas in this area is the wider application of qualitative methods of analysis, the improvement of "digital" sociology tools, expert support of the forecasting process.
