A panel discussion: "Prospects of the Belarus-Uzbekistan Relations in the Context of Contemporary Geopolitical Processes" with the representatives of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - ISRS) was held as part of the continuing series of videoconferences with foreign partners on September 10.
It should be noted that ISRS is the first foreign "think tank", with which BISR has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in July 2019, within the scope of which the partnership in several areas and in different formats is developing dynamically and effectively.
During the online communication the experts of the two institutions exchanged views on the current international situation and forecast estimates on its further development. The participants of the discussion paid particular attention to the negative effects of a new coronavirus infection pandemic and crisis effects caused by it on the dynamics of the socio-economic processes in different regions and countries of the world.
The dialogue convincingly confirmed the existence of opportunities for the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of science, health, trade and industrial cooperation.
