On March 23, 2022, withing a development of the expert dialogue "Belarus and China: a common development trajectory", Director of the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research Oleg Makarov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong.
The head of the Chinese diplomatic mission was familiarized with the main activities and objectives to be implemented by BISR. The sides shared their views on the current state and prospects for the development of Belarus-China expert-analytical cooperation, including the prospects of cooperation between think tanks of Belarus and China.
Special attention was given to regional security issues. BISR analysts also familiarized Chinese diplomats with the results of the research project "Value Portrait of modern Belarusian society".
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation between the BISR and the Chinese Embassy on issues representing mutual interests.
