On January 12, 2022, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research took part in the international research conference "Three decades of the Belarusian-Chinese relations and a community of common destiny for all mankind", organized by the BSU Confucius Republican Institute of Chinese Studies.
BISR Director Oleg Makarov in his video speech emphasized the exemplary level of expert interaction between the think tanks of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.
Oleg Makarov noted that one of the most critical functions in the course of think tanks interaction is mutual information exchange based on the principle of confidence in counterpart. Think tanks, due to the long-term nature of their projects and mental closeness, presuppose confident, open and honest communication, including on "painful" issues, on some points of misunderstanding in socio-political, economic and other relations.
