New Opportunities for the Belarusian-Kazakhstani Cooperation in the Post-Coronavirus Period

On the 9th of December, the BISR analyst Anton Dudaryonok took part in the round table «Kazakhstan in the Modern World. The leadership factor of N. Nazarbayev», organised with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus. Deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, prominent cultural figures, and representatives of the leading universities of the Republic of Belarus, political scientists, experts, and journalists gathered at the round table to discuss the issues of cooperation with Kazakhstan.

In his speech, Anton Dudaryonok noted that «Belarus is much interested in the state program of modernization of public consciousness being implemented in Kazakhstan, which, along with the constitutional reform and technological modernization of the economy, together constitute the triune task of the country’s «third modernization». In the conditions of current challenges, Belarus and Kazakhstan face the need to search for new growth drivers and develop their own development strategies for the future. Our states are also trying to find solutions to the challenges of our time through economic reforms, for which there are prerequisites».

The participants of the round table stressed the importance of supporting the continuity of the strategic course of the country’s development, highly evaluated the political, economic and social transformations in Kazakhstan and wished success to new political undertakings in the country initiated by the President K. Tokayev.
