Within the ongoing expert dialogue of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research with foreign partners, a round table on the "Prospects of social economic and social political development of the Republic of Belarus: the international dimension" in the video conference format was held at the BISR site.
On the Belarusian side the meeting was attended by the representatives of BISR, the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the VI convocation Paul Zhdanovich, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People's Republic of China Roman Sokol. The foreign participants of the expert round table were Director General of the Center for Chinese Studies “China Center” Adil Kaukenov and professor of the People's University of China Wang Xianju.
Video conference participants discussed key challenges to the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Belarus in the face of the deteriorating international situation in the Eurasian region, the consequences of internal political events in Belarus for the regional and international security, as well as prospects for the development of relations between Belarus, Kazakhstan and China.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of expert opinions and estimates of the impact of the current events and the international situation developing in Eurasia on the relations between Belarus, Kazakhstan and China, as well as other foreign policy partners, prospects of trade-economic, business and humanitarian cooperation between our countries.
