On April 16, 2021, inside the second day of the X Anniversary International Research Conference "Sociology of religion in Late modern society: religion and values" held by the Belgorod State University, the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Researches (BISR) organized a section "Transformation of the value matrix of modern society".
Section participants – Belarusian and Russian experts – raised a spectrum of issues related to the values studying methodology, distinctive features of religiosity of the Belarusian society, the value portrait of the youth of Belarus and other countries, problems of historical memory, the values of the border area.
The BISR analysts provided findings of number of studies dedicated to current values of the Belarusian society. Considering their dynamics and peculiarities through the prism of the image of the country's future enabled to put a diverse value jigsaw into single value matrix. Its integrity and stability in the face of modern challenges is promoted by traditional bond of the Belarusians to land, a respectful and reasonable attitude to the historical past, and a view to the future. The lack of unsolvable inter-generation gaps and demand of the Belarusian society for self-realization is one of the main conditions for its long-term development.
